Hansa Huang, O.D.

As a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, Dr. Hansa Huang has been practicing for over 15 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduation, she attended The University of Houston College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree. She completed her internships at a private practice and a non-profit clinic called Bridge Builders in Dallas, TX. She focused on specialty contact lens fittings and co-management of LASIK/cataract patients. Bridge Builders’s primary focus is on the treatment and management of ocular diseases associated with DM, HTN, and Glaucoma. Dr. Huang is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Texas Optometric Association (TOA), and the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS).

Dr. Huang has a passion for treating her patients with exceptional care and establishes long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She believes in offering her patients an educational experience by taking the time to explain the inner-workings of their eyes and to promote proactive ocular health.

Outside of work, Dr. Huang enjoys outdoor adventures, live concerts, and trying new baking recipes to feed her hungry husband and picky daughter. Whatever falls on the floor is fair game for her puggle, Sir Westin Pugglesworth.

Huong Nguyen, O.D.

Dr. Huong (Theresa) Nguyen was born and raised in Houston, TX but has been serving the Austin community as a licensed therapeutic optometrist since 2013. She received her B.F.A. from New York University in 2007 and her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2013. In addition, she completed externships and training in various clinical settings including Lyons Veterans Medical Center in central New Jersey, Casa de Amigo Medical Center & San Jose Medical Clinic in downtown Houston, as well as traveling with the UHCO Mobile Eye Institute to underserved communities and schools in the Houston suburbs. Prior to joining Eye Heart Vision, she had been practicing in various eye clinics around Austin and the surrounding suburbs as well as the Essilor Mobile Van to provide vision care for elementary schools in central Texas.

When Dr. Nguyen is not giving eye exams, she is busy being a mom to her daughter, Luna (Age 4). In her free time, she enjoys making pottery, photography, cooking/baking gluten free recipes, and hiking/kayaking with her husband.

Chesiree Martinez

Born and raised in Texas, Chesiree is energetic, friendly, and loves assisting our patients. She is your go-to person for any patient concerns or questions. She always has a means to make our patients feel like family. She has been working with Dr. Hansa Huang for over 4 years and looks forward to the many years to come, as they are one dynamic duo!

When she is not in the office helping patients, Chesiree loves to spend time with her sons, James and Elijah. They enjoy cooking meals together and watching movies and anime. While she loves to travel, she would much rather be at home with her sons creating unforgettable memories. “Family over everything”.
